American University in Bulgaria [AUBG] on Internet

Fully Interactive Internet Capability with the American University in Bulgaria

The American University in Bulgaria is a academic institution in
the liberal arts tradition which accepted its first class of
students in September 1991. The university will have its first
commencement ceremony in May 1995. Begun with initial financial
support from the United States Agency for International Develop-
ment, the Soros Foundation, and with infrastructure support from
the Bulgarian national and local government, AUBG now has over
600 students. One-fifth of the student body comes from countries
other than Bulgaria, including Serbia, Albania, Macedonia,
Greece, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Norway and the US. All courses
are taught in English.

Entrance requirements include an exceptional score on the Scho-
lastic Aptitude Test; the average score of the most recent incom-
ing class was 1190. Recently, the Computer Center of AUBG com-
pleted an important stage in the continuing improvement of AUBG's
computing capabilities. AUBG has acquired a designated telephone
line with Vienna now provides it with fully interactive internet
capability. Below is a list of some of the internet information
services now available at AUBG:

they appeared in. Later some more sophisticated tools like
hypermail might be used.
