The would-be assassin of President Gligorov reportedly lives in Germany

According to an article in the weekly Macedonian Sun (quoted also in the Bulgarian press), the person who tried to assassinate President Gligorov on October 3, 1995 lives in Germany and is planning new terrorist acts. The author of the article used a tip from an anonymous information source posing as an "compatriot living in Munich".

According to the article, the attempt on the life of president Gligorov was organized by a secret Macedonist organization protesting the change of the flag of the new state. The same organization (and the hit-man "Bobby") were said in the FAX received by the weekly Macedonian Sun to be planning terrorist acts against the prime minister Branko Crvenkovski, and the leaders of the opposition parties IMRO-DPMNE (Lyupcho Georgievski), Democratic Party (Petar Goshev), and the Liberal Party (Stoyan Andov) in case the name of the Republic of Macedonia is changed as a result of the negotiations with Greece.
